Singer-songwriter John Denver touched millions of people, and achieved superstar status through his pop-folk songs based on folk, many of them based in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado and moved to Aspen. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado have inspired many people to make the move to Colorado. I don't think there's another performer that embodies Colorado such as John Denver said G. Brown director of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. Denver has been the symbol of the state to everyone around the world. On my trips, I've met people from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell that you're from Colorado The first thing they'll say is Oh John Denver. Brown said. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short career performing in small folk-based group was Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the tune with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered an early version of the song and realized it was going to be a top 10 hit. After performing the song in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver recorded it just days from now.
